Anyone with an internet connection can tell you where the potato chip came from.  Blah, blah, blah, Saratoga, New York.  Yadda yadda, disgruntled customer/fussy cook, yadda yadda we’re all fat and happy today.  That’s great.

However, how many times have you really sat down to enjoy a big handful of plain potato chips?  As in not for a carrier for dips?  Not often, right?  Right.  I certainly don’t crave a bowl of salty potatoey nothing, not unless I’m going to be using it for a carrier for something else.  It’s the flavors on the chip that reel me in.  Who had this genius thought to add taste to a potato chip, to make it taste vaguely like any other type of food that I could imagine?
