You want to know what one of the best parts about food blogging is?  How a research tangent will take you into uncharted article territory.  For example- this entire article was going to be about an obscure cooking technique beginning with the letter F, which it clearly is not.  Once again, thanks to the Oxford Companion to American Food And Drink, I descended down the abyss of endless food information.  So rather than an appropriate article on fricaseeing or the French Pot Ice Cream Technique (which deserves all caps), I got hung up on Amish funeral food.

Specifically, Funeral Pie.  It exists and it sounds horrific.
